Email Policies

This is a guide for Email Usage for all who use the CFC email list. Church email lists are similar to corporate email lists. The CFC Web Site Administrator, sends out pertinent emails to those who have given their email addresses to the church. No one else should send out mass emails to the CFC mailing list under any circumstances. This is a violation of laws governing the use of email lists and is considered spam. This is no different than at a workplace or a corporation, which is CFC in this case. Also, any issues or compliants should be addressed in person to the Pastor and/or Board of Trustees, not through email.

Chain Letters/Special Thought: Do not send or forward Chain Letters or Special Thought Letters. Specifically, Chain Letters are illegal. It applies to any sort of emails which encourage the reader to pass an email on to a specific number of other email users. If you are reported to be sending chain letters, your ISP, whether it is AOL, Comcast, EarthLink, etc., can cancel your internet account.

Solicitations: Please do not use this forum to conduct any type of solicitation. This should be done in private with the Pastor, who, in turn, will consult the Board of Trustees.

Prayer Requests: If you have a prayer request, submit it through the website, www.cfcchase.org, by clicking on the Prayer Request icon at the top of any CFC webpage and follow directions. The administrator will review the request and then make it available for viewing on the web site. Before submitting prayer request through the web page, for urgent and immediate help, it is best to first call Sister Phyllis Brooks, to start the prayer chain via phone calls. Sister Phyllis' phone number is available in the church directory. If Sister Phyllis is not available, call the Church at 410-335-6637.

Personal Religious/Political Views Or Opinions: The Pastor, as guided by God and His Word, is the voice of the Church. Please do not mass email your own personal views.

Humor: Please submit humor through the website, www.cfcchase.org, by clicking on the Humor icon, at the top of any CFC webpage, and following directions. After receiving the request, the administrator will review the request and then make it available for viewing on the web site.

Virus Alerts: There is a great deal of virus hoaxes. It is best not to alarm people unnecessarily. Forward an email to the administrator for review.

Graphics/Photos/Attachments: Refrain from sending graphics, photos, and attachments. Large graphics or files can bog down a mail server and inappropriate graphics can offend.

Miscellaneous: For any other type of emails, contact the CFC Website Administrator for help.
